I suppose you could say I'm newish, I've been here a while but it's taken me a while to get things set up where I see them as "presentable".

Majikal Me:

There's more to me than just living, breathing, working and sleeping. I have what I suppose you could call split personalities, but I prefer Personified Muses. Basically, I'm a bundle-pack of four separate people, distinct voices, distinct preferences, distinct wants, needs and desires. I keep it relatively clear of my daily life when I can, but I've decided that if I'm going to have a true set of voices anywhere, here would be the place. So if you can get past that weirdness, we're set.

I like to read, I like to comment, I like to interact. I'm also frequently available on AIM and via email. I try and be as interesting as possible, but work, combined with my miniscule Friends Page has made Majik begin to lag in the glitz and glamour department. I intend to remedy this.

I try and keep my posts as interesting as possible, I try and steer away from the normal, dull drudgery of day-to-day in favour of the various things that have found new and exciting ways to piss me off. I also post photos and original writing. Oh yeah, and I game.

Hello, my name is Olga Stewart. And I go by the username of 'aine_cara' on here.

As well, my usual online usernames are either 'Maddie' or 'mikesmaddie'.

I was on this site before under a different username. And it was a private journal that I had. But for reasons known only to me, I decided to delete that journal.

Well, I decided to come back to the site as I wanted to get away from another online journal site (I won't say which one it is but I just don't feel happy there. And I felt that perhaps a change of scenery might help in regards to my journal writing and such).

And since I have come back to the site, I have set up a 'friends only' journal with the username mentioned above.

With that out of the way...

I'm a 35 year old woman who was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. And I now live in Hinton, Alberta, Canada with both Bri(an) (my fiance/common-law husband) and our lady cat, Spook.

We used to have a gentleman cat named Sparks. But he died last October. And he was twelve.

I'm generally an easy-going and optimistic person. I love helping my friends whenever I can. I'm nicest before you know me, but I'm not a bitch unless you really piss me off. If interests are a must-know, I like almost any and all forms of music, but my favorite band is Atreyu. My favorite TV shows are Law & Order: SVU, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, and Degrassi (both new and old, though the old ones are always better). Well, I've been here for a month or two, but haven't done much. My main goal in joining IJ was in hopes that I would actually start writing outside of school assignments. I'd eventually like to write some fanfiction, most likely Naruto... I would eventually like to go to an Anime Con and cosplay.
I'm a bit off the wall at times, and value good ideas and intelligent (or just interesting) conversation. I like most things weird, or a little left of mainstream. I like learning about new things and experiencing new situations, and like to talk to people from all walks of life.

Hola, I'm new here. Literally. I just made my journal about an hour ago - and it took that amount of time to set everything up and come up with a decent first entry. Sadly enough, the only friend I have is myself - but I'd like more :) I don't bite. I'm pretty nice (although I do have my snarky, witty moments -- but I'm charming, dammit!) and ... So I recently had to switch over to IJ because as we all know, GJ imploded on itself. I used to be zomgbekahlovesu and antiqueflamingo over at GJ.

I'm mostly looking for friends who are interesting, update often, and who actually comment and read their friends entries. Updating is definitely on the cards and getting involved in the asylums sounds like a most excellent way to kill time XD So that's probably a yes.

I'm a little bit late to be called a newcomer I guess (joined in March) but I lost track of where this asylum was, so here I am now.

I'm Aurikku (obviously not my real name, though it'd be cool if it were). My main interests among fandom are Final Fantasy (VII and X), Naruto, Doctor Who, EUReKA, Joss-verse, and Stargate SG-1, but I have loads of other interests that I dabble in.

I'm a fanfic writer, and I mostly use my journal to post said fanfiction. I'm also interested in reading, video games, and generally being insane having fun.

2) Tell us why you came to InsaneJournal. Did someone from IJ tell you (and if so, who)?
I started at LJ, jumped to GJ for the 2000 icons, then I came to IJ when LJ's poor business practices really hit the fan. I do most of my writing at LJ, though, and cross-post here.

3) What is your favorite thing, so far, about InsaneJournal?
Having 100 icons without needing to pay extra is great (I like to think of the icons as an art gallery). I also like the laid-back atmosphere.

4) Have you joined any other asylums? If not, would you like to?
I'm watching/member of asylum_promo, but I haven't dove too deeply here. That'll probably change once I have time in my life.

5) Is there a certain kind of asylum or type of friends you are looking for?
Asylums/friends that relate to/share interests.

It's a little bit early for me to feel comfortable jumping in; it took me almost 3 years to become as involved as I am in LJ (which still isn't much). But who knows, I may wind up joining every single asylum under the sky today to procrastinate from homework.
